Bumptop is a hot new app that transforms your desktop into an aesthetically organized workspace. Your desktop becomes a three dimensional box with features that allow you to stack files, post files to different walls, and ultimately clean up your desktop without having to actually remove anything from it. This application is going to revolutionize the way people organize their desktops. Your messy desktop won’t be so messy once you get the hang of Bumptop. Bumptop was recently acquired by Google and is available for Mac and PC. I added some screen shots so you can see just how magical BumpTop really looks. Everyone should add this mac osx freeware gem to their hard drive.
There aren't many osx applications that are as good as this one for quickly jotting down notes. This is my new favorite app when I need to type something up fast and I don’t want to wait for Word to startup. It’s a very simple easy-to-use application. It is extremely versatile as well making it great for simple notes all the way to editing code.
Hand Brake is great for ripping DVD’s. It makes converting and burning dvd movies fast and easy. You will have no excuse not to back up your dvd’s once you have HandBrake.
Onyx is a one-stop-shop to keeping your system running smoothly. If you are trying to repair permissions on a mac don't just depend on the utilities that come with your computer when you can have a freeware utility that can be automated to do it for you. This utility makes repairing drive permissions and cleaning cache files a simple task. Its automation feature allows you to basically put the program on autopilot so you can relax while Onyx rubs all the knots out.
This app has saved me terabytes of space. It basically analyzes application code and finds "junk code" that is not needed. This in turn “slims” the application - sometimes shedding as much as 70% of its size. You simply drag and drop the app you wish to slim and it quotes you on how much it can shed off that particular application. This is a gem!
